<< BackJames “Jimbo” Bouler’s Daughter Makes a Difference
Haven’t heard from James “Jimbo” Bouler '81, Beta Theta 1846, in a while? Well, he’s an architect in Islip, New York, specializing in sustainable and environmentally friendly high-end residences. His 11-year-old daughter, Olivia, captured James’ art talent and her favorite subject is birds.
Olivia wrote to the Audubon Society and offered to sell sketches of birds for the benefit of the oil spill clean-up efforts. That offer has resulted in Olivia being on several national television shows, a Facebook page with more than 27,000 fans and donations exceeding $160,000. Click here to watch a video of Olivia and her family discussing what she's doing to help save the birds affected by the oil spill. The clip aired on the CBS Evening News, June 14, 2010. (It's truly inspirational).
What a wonderful story and a wonderful girl. Our thanks to James and his family for their efforts and results.
