Reception Honors New Graduates
The undergraduate members and Housemother Margaret Melzer hosted a reception on Saturday, May 4, for graduating seniors and their parents.  In spite of wet and unseasonably cool weather, it was well attended and everyone agreed it should be held again next year.  Many parents were present to meet each other and their sons' friends.

The Last Hurrah of College

Graduation day is such a bittersweet moment in our lives, as we say goodbye to the youth and vitality of college life, and usher in a new era in our lives: full-blown adulthood. Think back to your own time and tell us a story about your graduation day.  How did you spend your final days as an undergraduate member of Sigma Nu? Were there any last hurrahs or memorable moments with brothers that especially stand out?

Chapter Performs Well in the Classroom Again
The undergraduate chapter had a very good academic term in the fall. They earned a chapter-wide GPA of 2.91, exceeding the all-IFC average of 2.85 and the all-mens average of 2.83. This is the highest chapter-wide GPA in a number of years and we ranked 7th among 27 fraternities on campus. Among the large fraternities, we were fourth with only Farm House, ATO and Fiji scoring higher GPAs.

Spencer Brown, pictured at left, is a senior in political science with a 4.0 GPA after 97 hours.
